The incisions are covered with light dressings, and stitches, if used, will be removed in 5 to 10 days. Initial discomfort subsides daily and can be controlled with oral medication. Scars will usually fade within a few months.

Some bruising and swelling may be present within the first week or so after brow lift surgery.
